The Jungle Book
by Wolfgang Reitherman (United States, 1967) To protect him from the tiger Shere Khan, the panther Bagheera and the bear Baloo take their friend Mowgli, the "man cub" raised by wolves, on a journey full of fearsome and hilarious encounters... The Jungle Book (1967) is one of the last classics of the golden age of the Disney studios, a project highly coveted by Walt Disney himself, who spent a long while negotiating the rights to the book by Rudyard Kipling. The result is a marvellous musical populated by anthropomorphic animals - first and foremost a debonair, good-natured bear who rightly proclaims that it doesn't take much to be happy (just the bare necessities)... On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the famous Disney studio! In French |
